UTAR MBBS INTERVIEW 2015

Hey peeps. Today I went to UTAR Sg Long for MBBS interview. I took bus U41 to there from KTM Serdang. My interview was at 8.30 am. I waited at Ktm Serdang at 6.30am. Until 7 am, 2 buses U41 arrived. Luckily I asked the bus driver before I take the ride.

Me : Bus ni ada gi Sg Long ?
Bus Driver : K.L

For both buses, the same case happened ! So I would advise you to ask the bus driver before taking bus even they put the destination on the screen. It mislead me. Then, I met one girl called MeiYi. She also taking bus to UTAR Sg Long. We chitchat for a while. She was really friendly. We talked with each other until the bus arrived. And finally, we boarded the bus at 7.20am ! She said she will be late for class. Then I worried for her, she said its okay cause the lecturer will be fine with it . Haha. Then around 8.10 am , we arrived UTAR Sg Long. She wished me goodluck :) We hope to see each other next time. hihi.

So I straight away went to the M floor, Faculty of Medicine in Utar. I was too early that the door havent open yet. So I took out my notes and read about Ebola Disease. At 8.30 am, the door opened. I walked in the office. And a lady asked me to wait. I took out my stationary because I know that we have to write an essay before interview. The lady gave a list of short essay topics and 2 forms to be fill in. The time given was 30 minutes.

The topics given was just general questions. Such as;
1. How to improve Malaysia's Health care system ?
2. What do we do to the rapist ?
3. What do you think about Malaysia ? Do you like to live in Malaysia ? Why ?
4. What do you know about 1Malaysia Klinik ?
and many more I can't remember.

The instructions there was clear that we have to choose any topics in the list or we can write any topic that we want. So at last, I wrote about Ebola Disease since I'm prepared for it. During the essay writing, I feel that 30 minutes was like 5 minutes only ! When I was going to write my last paragraph, the lady informed me that I have another 5 minutes left.

After completing the essay writing session, she led me to the interview room. It was a small room and there were 2 interviewer there. One man and one lady. Both are quite friendly. When I knocked the door, they were already smiling and asked, 'how is your day ?'

The interview went smoothly as they only asked general questions, like: Tell me about yourself, Why Utar ? Why Medicine? What do a doctor do ? What are your strength and your weakness ? and they also asked question based on the essay that you wrote.

Basically, I think the interview was fine. Now just wait for the result. I can't say the chances to get UTAR is high or low. For me, the interview was good. But, they have limited seats for Pre-U students, only 20 seats. It gonna be very competitive.
Pray for me ! :)
